Lualaba : La sécurisation des sites miniers préoccupe la province, cas de TFM, S.A
Ce mercredi 14 avril 2021, le gouverneur intérimaire de la province du Lualaba Fifi Masuka Saini, accompagnée de quelques membres de son gouvernement et des officiers supérieurs militaires dépêchés par le Chef de l’État Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, ont pris part à une séance de travail avec les représentants de l’entreprise minière Tenke Fungurume Mining (TFM) dans la commune de Fungurume à plus d’une centaine de km de la ville de Kolwezi.
« Prendre des mesures adéquates pour la sécurisation de cette grande entreprise minière menacée depuis un temps par la clandestinité » était l’objectif de cette mission.
En dépit du versement des impôts au gouvernement et de sa contribution dans les projets de développement communautaire, TFM est confrontée à des difficultés majeures dans la sécurisation de sa concession qui s’étend sur une superficie d’au moins 1 600 km².
Parmi les difficultés évoquées par cette entreprise figurent l’invasion récurrente de creuseurs illégaux de manière violente ; les agressions animées par les creuseurs illégaux régulièrement à l’endroit des éléments de sécurité en général y compris la Police des Mines et Hydrocarbure, les Forces Armées de la RDC ainsi que plusieurs actes de vandalisme.
Pour l’Autorité provinciale, la présence des délégations venues de Kinshasa et des autorités provinciales du Lualaba vise à faire en sorte de couper court à ces actes de vandalisme mais aussi de voler au secours des compatriotes creuseurs car le creusage est légal en RDC.
